“Had a lovely time in the Gower. The estuary and marsh is spectacular, especially at high tide. The bungalow is lovely, and really well equipped and very spacious. C (6 years old) loved Sam’s Shed. The neighbours are also very friendly. Would recommend the Sea Garden Chinese restaurant in Penclawdd, and the Gower Sole fish and chip shop. The Greyhound and the King Arthur are very good for pub food. Despite the weather, we have had a really good time and have seen a lot of the Gower. The Waterfront Museum in Swansea is very good for a rainy day! CK’s supermarket is well stocked. Hope to come back next year, and see some more sunshine! “ (GB)

“Had a wonderful stay here. Really enjoyed the beautiful cottage and wonderful views of the estuary. Had a fantastic few days at some of the Gower beaches – especially Oxwich Bay and Rhosilli. Walks over The Worms Head and Three Cliffs Bay gave us a chance to soak up the fresh Gower air. Enjoyed a trip to the Woollen Mills at Newcastle Emlyn on a rainy day. The Gower Sole fish and chip shop is highly recommended, as is the Penclawdd Tandoori. Overall a wonderful stay – Many thanks! “ (ES)

“We had a great holiday – surfing, kayaking, horseriding, walking, reading , eating and sleeping. Bungalow is really well equipped and comfortable. Watched curlews and little egrets through the telescope – and worried about the horses stranded at high tide. Three Cliffs is the best bay. Ate at the Welcome to Town in Llanrhidian – very good. Altogether great fun.” (W’s)

“What a lovely holiday in such a comfortable cottage. We had a great day on Whiteford Sands, almost completely deserted, and all got rather sunburned! Also braved the weather at Port Eynon, and had great visits to Weobley Castle and Rhosilli. We all loved walking across the Marsh to see the ponies, and enjoyed the fabulous sunsets. So much to see in such a small area, and we will definitely be coming back. “ (G’s)

“The comforts of the bungalow compensate for the lousy weather. We’ve been hang gliding, mountaineering, microlite flying and bungee jumping – not really - we’ve been to the beach! View from the bungalow, of the tides especially, is fascinating, and the children loved the ponies and sheep.” (R.G)

“The cottage is lovely, very spacious and well equipped. The children (3 and 5) really loved the Shed. Gower is great for Mountain biking. If the weather is bad and the terrain too muddy, you can always try the North Gower cycling route, which is mainly on small roads with few cars and some great views over the hills and the sea. The Indian Tandoori Restaurant provides excellent take away meals, which come in handy if you have small kids!” (A. from Belgium)

“We have had a wonderful stay – thank you!” (R.W)

“We had a fantastic time with family whom we had never met before, and others we had not seen for ages. The drives and views were fabulous. “ (M.M)

“Very comfortable, well equipped bungalow in unique location. Fascinated by changing views of estuary and wealth of wildlife. Telescope really appreciated. Superb scenery in the Gower, whether beaches, cliffs or moors. On a clear day the view from Arthur’s Stone is not to be missed.” (H.H.)

“Thank you Sally and Peter for providing everything we could possibly need to make our stay in Tŷ Hyfryd a comfortable and enjoyable one. Used your telescope many times to watch the wildlife and stargazed with it too! The night sky is amazing when it is clear. We enjoyed a pub meal at The Greyhound, washed down with a pint of their guest ale. …. Fascinated by the wild ponies standing up to their necks in water when the tide came in and staying there until the water went out again! Hope to return again and explore more of Gower. We will spread the word how beautiful it is, and welcoming. The staff at the Gower Sole fish and chip shop, Penclawdd, were very friendly and food excellent!” (B.G.)

“Very comfy with great views over marsh.” (M.B.)

“Very comfy here and very spacious. Everything we forgot was already here! The views are great, neighbours are lovely. This really is a true home from home.” (C.P.)

“Thank you for the use of your house. It was indeed like home from home. It was lovely seeing the family again, and it made things a lot easier.” (A local’s parents from Scotland)

“What a stunning location! From the “terrace lookout” I have enjoyed a peaceful morning from 9.00am High water, watching the tide slowly ebb away to the birdsong and glorious sunshine with blue, blue sky in February! Could stay here forever! " (J.A)
