The bungalows are two distinct properties, part of a small secluded Close, with the magic of the marsh behind initially hidden from view. The photo at the top of this page shows the other side of the garden gate! About 20 yards apart, they are ideal for renting together. Grandparents can enjoy peace and quiet, whilst still holidaying with young grandchildren!
Tŷ Hyfryd has three bedrooms and Tŷ Cefn two, and both are maintained to a high standard. See Tŷ Hyfryd/Tŷ Cefn Sections for more details of each property. Gas central heating keeps the bungalows warm and cosy, though in Tŷ Hyfryd there is a log burning stove too, for which all logs are provided.
Flat screened TVs, DVD players, radios, hairdryers, books, maps, games and binoculars are supplied. Both properties have a phone and WiFi There is a garage to each property, affording secure facilities for bikes and canoes. The outdoor hoses can also be used. (Crofty is close to excellent offroad biking facilities not only around Swansea, but along the whole stretch of the Millennium Path from Loughor to Kidwelly, whilst superb Mountain biking centres are within easy reach.)
In Tŷ Hyfryd there is a two storey children’s playhouse, and both properties have garden furniture and washing lines. Washing machines and tumble driers are provided. A travel cot. high chairs and buggies are available. We have tried to anticipate the needs of all our guests.
We live locally, and have a keen interest in the history of Gower and the Loughor Estuary, and in canoeing, mountain biking, and walking, and we would be pleased to offer any help or advice, before or during your visit. The accommodation is ideal for those wanting a quiet break in wonderful countryside, and our neighbours are important to us, so we hope to attract visitors who appreciate all that Gower Salthouses have to offer.
The Change Over day is now usually Saturday. However, we are often able to alter this if guests require it, particularly out of the main summer season. Eg. Many of our guests come for ten days.
There are no extra charges made for utilities or linen, but a £25 discount is available to those who wish to bring their own linen (sheets and towels), and who tell us in advance.
The price guide is the maximum charged; we often have special offers. Please email or telephone for confirmation. There are discounts at all times for two people only.
